Respirator Fit Testing
We provide quantitative fit testing services to our clients. Our technician travels up and down the Island to our client worker worksites. We use our Portacount fit test machine which non-invasively counts particles inside and outside the wearer’s mask and compares them to provide a fit factor.
Respirator Fit Testing & Training Service: We are able to offer you a complete onsite fit testing program (including N95’s) for your facility including fit test records. We have fully mobile, qualified technicians available to come to your worksite on your schedule.
We are able to provide either of the two accepted methods of respirator fit testing (qualitative and quantitative).
Both methods are effective and recognized by the CSA (CSA Z94.4-02) and WorkSafeBC OH&S Regulations. Using the Qualitative method we are able to test up to five persons at a time making the testing move along quickly. The test result is a subjective pass or fail. The Quantitative method tests one person at a time and gives an objective, scientific fit factor which may be more appropriate where higher levels of respiratory protection are required. When used in combination, the Quantitative is able to test those persons whom have a respiratory condition (i.e. asthma) or those whom are not certain of the results of the Qualitative test and want a second method to confirm.
We are able to train your employees on proper respirator use and maintenance.
We are also able to train personnel on how to conduct fit testing internally.
